Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati says children need to be embraced and empowered with education tools to steer their positive and progressive education path.
Speaking today during a donation ceremony at Kalomo secondary school, Mr. Mutati commended Electro Technique Solution for donating internet connectivity through STARLINK and pledging to have it connect for a free one year timeframe subscription.
The Minister also commended ZICTA for donating computers to Kalomo secondary school recording as the first school in Zambia to be connected to the renowned and global space – firm at the backdrop of the government – private sector engagement.
He said the pupils at the school are now equipped with the tools to acquire knowledge and information. He said more computers will be donated to augment the 2,000 pupils.
The Minister disclosed that Kalomo secondary school was progressively destined, in future, to be elevated to a center of excellence in the delivery of education. He encouraged the pupils to exert more efforts and tap into the provided opportunity to exploit limitless knowledge and information by exploring the internet facility in order to make a difference in their life endeavours.
He explained that the STARLINK internet services are bound to run on a fast and limitless technological – technical know-how delivery service beyond any potential geographic landscape hindrances.
The Minister believed the extended gesture was beyond solely gifting Kalomo school but also required to furnish other government institutions with accessible and fast internet services.
Meanwhile Mr. Mutati embraced the historic attachment of the school aligned with producing the current county’s President His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema.
