Innovation – Skill Products Ready on Market Shelf

Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati has commended his ministry (MoTS) for displaying products that have market value and emanate from innovations that can be tapped for growth and sustainability.

Mr Mutati was speaking when he joined the ministry staff at the 56th Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF) celebrating a 2nd prize position scooped under the government ministry/department category exhibits.

He said the government has provided support to its institutions to employ innovation in research, teaching, learning, and interrogating entrepreneurial activities for sustainable growth as a result of creating tangible products that currently are going on the market – shelf as exhibited by institutions and students showcasing their talents, skills, and innovations that have also responded and well incorporated under the 2022 56th ZITF theme of promoting value addition for sustainable growth.

Mr Mutati disclosed that over 60,000 students have been enrolled in TEVET institutions pursuing various skills training programs a clear interpretation of the ministry’s contribution to skills acquisition and setting entrepreneurial mindsets and practical activities in the young people.
